Welkom op de website van Siamees en Oosters Korthaar cattery Amat Manis! Wij zijn Miriam en Baukje – moeder en dochter – en wonen in Tilburg, Noord-Brabant samen met onze twee Siamezen en onze Oosters Korthaar. Wij delen ons huis sinds 1986 met Oosterse katten en durven rustig te zeggen dat we niet meer zonder zouden kunnen, laat staan willen. "Eens een Siamees, altijd een Siamees."
Onze cattery is vernoemd naar één van onze poezen. De naam betekent zoveel als 'oneindig lief'. Dat omschrijft precies de naamgeefster. Ze is al een paar jaar niet meer bij ons, maar wat was ze ongelooflijk lief. In 1994 werd onze catterynaam geregistreerd bij FIFe en sinds 2009 is onze cattery geregistreerd bij Neocat. Daarnaast zijn we lid van de rasverenigingen SOK en SIOK. Wij fokken Siamezen en Oosters Kortharen van het moderne type. Gezondheid en een fijn karakter staan daarbij op de eerste plaats. Het welzijn van onze katten en kittens nemen we hoog op. Zo besteden we veel aandacht aan bijvoorbeeld voeding en goede medische zorg. Onze katten zijn overal in huis welkom en bij mooi weer mogen ze in de tuin van de zon en frisse lucht genieten. Mocht u vragen hebben of meer informatie willen, neem dan gerust contact met ons op. Welcome to the website of Amat Manis Siamese and Orientals! We are Miriam and Baukje – mother and daughter – and live in Tilburg in the south of the Netherlands, together with our two Siamese and our Oriental. We have been enjoying the company of Siamese and Oriental cats since 1986 and hope to be able to enjoy their company for many more years to come, as we could not live without them anymore. “Once a Siamese, forever a Siamese.”
Our prefix is actually the name of one of our cats. The name means ‘infinitely sweet’ and that is exactly what she was. She died a few years ago, but we will always remember her as the gentlest girl. Our prefix was registered with FIFe in 1994 and with Neocat in 2009. In addition, we are member of the Dutch Siamese and Oriental breed associations SOK and SIOK. We breed modern type Siamese and Orientals. Health and a nice temperament are always our first priority. Amat Manis kittens are raised under foot. Our cats and kittens’ well-being is very important to us. Therefore, we pay a lot of attention to e.g. diet and fitting medical care. Our cats have free roam of the house and when it is nice out they are allowed to go out into our walled-in garden to safely enjoy the sun and fresh air.
